 Texture, form and solder three custom sized bangles ​

In our Bangles class, students will create three bangles with size options ranging from 8” for small, 8.5-9” for medium, and 9.5-10” for large.
The class price includes the following base metals:
  • Copper
  • Brass
For an additional fee, students can upgrade to:
  • Silver wire
  • Thicker gauge copper wire
Beads are also available as an optional upgrade for an additional cost.

Class Activities and Techniques:​​
  1. Sizing and Cutting: Students will measure, cut, and file the selected bracelet wire according to their size preferences.
  2. Designing: If beads are chosen, students will select and add beads that fit their chosen wire gauges.
  3. Forming: The edges of the bracelet wire will be sanded, and students will use flat nose pliers to shape the ends, ensuring a secure fit.
  4. Cleaning and Soldering: Students will clean the seam with pumice, dry it, and solder the formed seam before pickling the bracelets.
  5. Stamping and Texturing: Students will shape, file, and texture the bracelets using a variety of hammers.
  6. Finishing: Students will apply their desired finish, whether it be a high-shine polish or a patina using liver of sulfur.
