Stamp, texture, and form a copper blank shape. 
 Solder bezel cup and wire, finish by setting your stone. 

In our Bolo Tie or Pendant class, students will receive 1 copper shape, 1 bezel cup and a leather cord with bolo ends.
The base metal and shapes included in the class price are:
  • Copper
The base shapes included in the class price are:
  • Large circle.
  • Medium circle.
  • Square.
  • Square cut in half
For an additional cost, students can upgrade to the following shapes:
  • Shapes selected from our copper shape drawers that are large enough to conceal the bolo loops.
Students will get a 12mm bezel cup and stone.
  • Upgraded bezel cups and stones available for purchase.
Students will get a leather cord and bolo ends.

Class Activities and Techniques:​​
  1. Layout: Students will learn how to trace a bezel cup onto a base plate.
  2. Stamping and Texturing: Students will explore various stamping and texturing techniques, using a wide range of tools to create unique designs on their copper shapes.
  3. Forming: Students will form wire into a figure-8 shape, bend it at the center, and file it flat for a bolo. Alternatively, they can form the wire into a jump ring for a pendant.
  4. Soldering: Students will solder the bezel cup onto the base plate and attach the figure-8 wire or jump ring to the back of the base plate.
  5. Finishing: Students will complete their piece by brass brushing or applying patina, then set the stone to finalize their design.
