 Stamp, texture, and sweat solder two metals together.
​Form and solder a custom ring.

In our Bolo Tie or Pendant class, students will receive 1 copper shape, 1 bezel cup and a leather cord with bolo ends.
The base metal and shapes included in the class price are:
  • Copper
The base shapes included in the class price are:
  • Large circle.
  • Medium circle.
  • Square.
  • Square cut in half
For an additional cost, students can upgrade to the following shapes:
  • Shapes selected from our copper shape drawers that are large enough to conceal the bolo loops.
Students will get a 12mm bezel cup and stone.
  • Upgraded bezel cups and stones available for purchase.
Students will get a leather cord and bolo ends.

Class Activities and Techniques:​​
  1. Sizing: Students will Choose metals to marry. Use a ring sizer to measure their finger then Refer to a sizing chart to mark the correct size of ring blank.  Cut ring to size. Find center and  trace around small metal blank.
  2. Stamping and Texturing: Students will explore various stamping and texturing techniques, using a wide range of tools to create unique designs on their rings.
  3. Forming:  Students will learn to use flat nosed pliers to form ends to meet with a tight fit.
  4. Cleaning and Soldering: The ring will be cleaned with pumice before Sweat solder metals together. soldering the formed seam using flux. Students will also work with Pickle to clean away can carbon and residue from the soldering process.
  5. : Students will Clean ring with pumice. .
    Pickle ring blank. Cut excess metal off.  Clean ring with  pumice and dry.  Solder 
    the formed  seam. Pickle ring
  6. Finishing: Students will File, sand, form, then Patina or Polish
