Open Studio Hours at FireFusion Studio
Looking to continue your creative journey in metal and enamel art? Our Open Studio Hours are designed for students who have completed at least two courses at the Delia Dante Gallery & FireFusion Studio and are ready to work independently in a professional studio setting.
How It Works

How It Works
- Studio time is offered multiple times per month and announced on our calendar and via newsletter.
- Students must have completed at least two courses.
- Sessions are 3 hours at a cost of $50 per session.
- Each session is limited to 6 students to ensure a focused, supportive workspace.
- Available by appointment only. Please contact us to schedule your time.
Studio Access Includes:
You’ll have access to our professionally equipped metalsmithing and enameling studio, featuring:
- Durston Cutting Shear
- Acetylene and butane torches
- Enameling and firing kilns
- Soldering stations
- Foredom flex shafts
- Texturing and forming hammers
- Anvils, vices, wooden stumps
- Polishing wheels, stamps, and more
Approved Metals: Students may work with:
- Copper
- Brass
- Bronze
- Silver and gold
Consumables & Personal Tools – What to Bring:
Students are required to bring their own consumables and personal tools, including:
- Metals (see approved list above)
- Flux and solder
- Patinas
- Hydrogen peroxide (for super pickle)
- Specialty bits for flex shafts
- Paintbrushes for flux
- Enamels
Studio Supplies & Availability:
We offer a variety of metalsmithing and enameling supplies for purchase on-site, including select starter kits.
However:
- Supplies are subject to availability and sold on a first-come, first-served basis
- Silver is not offered for purchase due to unpredictable demand and market volatility—we reserve our silver stock for structured class use
Instruction Policy & Disclaimer:
Students are expected to work autonomously during Open Studio Hours.
- The studio manager is present to help you find tools and ensure safe equipment use, but will not provide in-depth instruction.
- If a student needs a demonstration or refresher on a specific technique, a $25 instructional fee will apply.
- Occasionally, class projects may include Open Studio time. In these cases, the instructor will be available to help students reference the class board and continue their progress
